My Unapologetic Love For Self Tan Has Led Me... Here

I have tried every tanner out there, and have been a range of oranges along the way, and just when I thought I had mastered my tanning routine, I was confused and proven wrong, yet again. Coming from experience, trust me when I say this will change the game for you. Not only is it so easy to apply that even an amateur couldn’t mess it up, it lacks everything the tanners I hate have: ‘after smell,’ streaks, and stains. The ‘after smell’ is that disgusting stench of self tanner that developed after a couple hours. I knew this one was different when my friends were saying “Wow, you smell really good,” rather than, “Oh so you just put on tanner, didn’t you?” Along side the smell, every gradual tanner-type lotion has been so incredibly streaky on the back of my legs or around my elbows, well that is, up until this one. I can apply this lotion day after day and only getting a deeper glow, not a more noticeable orange tint along with zig zag lines behind my ankle. Lastly, it doesn’t stain. If you’re a regular tanner, you know that your white bedsheets won’t be white for long. After a few sleeps, they’ll have a faint orange-brown color that can never seem to come out in the wash. I really thought I would have to live with all of these tanner side effects, and I was ready to settle, until I tried Lux Unfiltered.

It isn’t just the packaging that’s beautiful but your skin after you use this product. Absorbing almost instantly, it didn’t even feel like I had lotion on, let alone tanner. I waited about 2 minutes, mindlessly, while I finished my skin care. Before I knew it, the lotion was dry and it felt like I really hadn’t put it on in the first place. There was no residue that came off on any of my clothing, or at all as far as I am aware. Once I washed it off, I was left with a beautiful tan, but not too dark at first. It was a slight tint, but after a second application, I realized truly how buildable this product is. It also didn’t fade the same way as my older tanners did. Where as in my old routine, the tanner would latch onto my dead skin. And god forbid I forget to put on lotion, it looks live I’ve rolled in a patch of dry claw, which orange splotches all over me. I honestly didn’t really notice Lux Unfiltered fading, which is a huge compliment in the self tanner industry. It just seemed to fade with no dramatic realization on my end that I needed to scrub a whole layer of skin off.

All in all, Lux Unfiltered is really one of the best tanners I’ve tried as of late. Who knows if I will come across one that blows Lux Unfiltered out of the water, but for right now, it will be the only one on my vanity. It really is worth a try, for any self tan lover out there, or if you’re just looking for a little extra glow.
