About MDM

Through writing about and analyzing the world of fashion and beyond, we don’t only get a greater view of the world around us, but we are also able to show a glimpse of ourselves to those who are interested enough to notice. Challenging the view of fashion as a self centered, frivolous, and dismissive industry gives us the power to not only prove those critics wrong, but find ourselves in the process as well. Fashion is meant to be a fun, innovative, and extraordinary story telling piece of social justice, gender norms, and self expression.

Modern Day Mood, MDM for short, began as an outlet for creative expression, curiosity, and passionate ideas in hopes to inspire others. And yes, it’s still starting, so I guess we will see where this goes…but I hope you don't just take away the latest trends for shoes you need in your closest (even though you definitely do), instead I hope you can see this for what I see it as: a place to seek enjoyment and escape through color, style, and self expression.
